LEADERS IN MOTION

Ages: Grades 4-6
Location: Strathcona Community Association - Main Hall, 277 Strathcona Dr SW
Dates: Mondays, Apr 15 - Jun 24, 2024 (10 classes - no class on May 20th)
Time: 4:55 - 6:10pm

Taking into account each participant’s physical capabilities, this program will build upon FUNdamental sport skills and focus on skill acquisition. While promoting fun and friendship, we will build up physical capacities in strength, speed, agility and flexibility. Introduction to sports such as volleyball, soccer, basketball, floor hockey, yoga, and field hockey will be taught with a focus on skill development and game play.

As a supportive team, we discover, develop, and practice new leadership skills using hands-on activities, games, and group discussion. Components to living a healthy lifestyle are introduced, such as nutrition, proper recovery, and the importance of mental well-being.

Included with each session: your choice of Run. Jump. LEAD! swag, a customized iLEAD! notebook, and parental access to a class app to view photos and follow along with our program

NOTES:

• To participate in Leaders in Motion, you must be at least in grade 4
• There will be no class on May 20th
• Participants MUST be the minimum age by the program start date. No exceptions.
